“You don’t have to figure it out alone — counselling offers understanding, perspective, and support when life feels heavy.”
Hi, I’m Carly, Founder of Mira Counselling.
I believe meaningful support begins with real conversations. Life can be complex, overwhelming, and at times deeply painful and you don’t have to navigate it alone. My role is to provide a safe, respectful and thoughtful space where you feel heard, understood and supported at your own pace.
Originally from Australia, I have been living in the UK for 15 years and am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I bring many years of experience from high-pressure corporate environments into my practice, which gives me a grounded understanding of leadership demands, work-related stress, burnout, work/life balance challenges and the uncertainty that can come with career transitions. I understand how easy it can be to carry responsibility while quietly struggling underneath.
Many people seek counselling not only during times of crisis, but also when navigating the natural challenges and transitions of life. I support clients experiencing grief and loss including the death of a loved one, anticipatory grief, relationship endings, identity shifts and other significant changes alongside the more everyday struggles that can feel difficult to manage alone.
I take a collaborative approach to counselling, recognizing that everyone’s experiences, strengths, and goals are different. My style is supportive, relaxed, and easygoing, creating a space where we can talk openly about difficult things while still allowing for moments of lightness and even humour when they arise.
Starting counselling can feel like a big step, and it’s important that you feel comfortable with the person you’re working with. I offer a free, no-obligation call so you can get a sense of how I work and decide whether it feels like the right fit.
